What is Logan Eco Action Festival?

Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) is an annual event run by Logan City Council to celebrate World Environment Day. The event aims to educate patrons about sustainable practices as part of this free, fun filled one day program.

Is there an entry fee?

No. LEAF is a free event run by Logan City Council to give back to its community and promotes sustainability and positive city image. In fact everything at LEAF is free from our workshops to our rides. The only thing you will need to pay for is food from our food vendors, and buying products from our eco exhibitors should you choose to do so.

Is there water onsite?

Yes – we have a free water refilling station at LEAF so make sure to bring a reusable drink bottle. There are also many bubblers around Griffith University.

What should I bring?

A hat, reusable water bottle to fill up at our free hydration station, a resuable coffee cup to get a discount on your coffee from food trucks, a bag, sunscreen and a smile.

Do I need to book in for workshops?

No. All workshops are free with no need to book. They do run on a first come first served basis, so please arrive early to get your seat.

Is there parking available?

Free parking is available at Griffith University. Please follow the instructions of our Traffic Controllers who will advise you where parking is available. They can also assist with disabled parking.

Logan City Council also encourages patrons to travel to the event via public transport. Catch the train to Loganlea Station and pick up our free event shuttle running every 10 minutes. Map out your route with the Translink Journey Planner.

Can we bring pets?

Unfortunately, no. In the best interests of event attendees and our furry friends – we remind attendees that no pets (apart from assistance dogs) are permitted into the event precinct. The event has a high patronage, and we have wildlife on display for educational purposes that we do not want to distress.

Are there ATM facilities onsite?

ATM facilities are available onsite for patrons use. Only some food vendors have EFTPOS facilities.

Is there disabled access?

Yes. All event sites are assessable by wheelchair. Disabled parking is available onsite at each event and is managed by our Traffic Controllers. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to email for more information.

Is first aid available onsite?

Yes. First Aid officers are onsite for all events in case of injury. You can locate in the Eco Emporium, or by looking for the First Aid symbol on the event site map.

Is smoking permitted at LEAF?

Given that LEAF is a family and environmentally friendly event, as well as having wildlife and an outdoor food precinct, smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the event site.

What are we not allowed to bring to LEAF?

Alcohol, illegal drugs, distribution of promotional material, drones, any items considered dangerous or otherwise illegal, animals, weapons of any kind, laser lights, water pistols, skateboards, roller blades, bikes or the like, no external food or picnics.

Lost property?

If you lose something at LEAF please go to the Information marquee at the entrance to the event and advise staff of what you have lost. Please provide your contact details, should your lost items be returned. If you have lost something at one of our events please email the Events team.
